We’re recruiting: Food, Brain and Mental Health Innovation and Partner Engagement Manager

YPMH is seeking an experienced and versatile programme leader to lead the development and delivery of our new three-year Food, Brain and Mental Health programme.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of evidence, innovation, implementation and partnership-building – identifying where food and nutrition could make the greatest difference to brain development and mental health, and progressing the most promising opportunities towards practical, equitable and scalable action.

The programme has a particular focus on improving outcomes for children, young people and communities experiencing disadvantage.

The successful candidate will:

  • lead the day-to-day delivery of the programme
  • translate complex evidence and stakeholder knowledge into clear priorities and opportunities for practical action
  • design and facilitate collaborative processes for problem definition, opportunity identification, prioritisation and intervention development
  • support the development, testing and implementation of selected interventions and approaches
  • build partnerships across research, health and social care, policy, education, communities, charities and the food sector.

We are looking for someone with a strong combination of analytical thinking, programme delivery, innovation and relationship-building capability. Candidates do not need to be specialists in every aspect of food, nutrition, neuroscience or mental health, but should have the curiosity and judgement to work effectively across disciplines and bring in expertise where needed.

Closing Date: 5.00 pm, Monday 24 August 2026
